No review sites got to play the game any quicker than the general public. IGN was writing a daily "Review in Progress" blog as they were playing and gathering information for their final review. When they felt they had sufficient playtime and information they finished up their review.
If the game didn't have DRM issues and horrible lag I would say its a 9-9.5 but right now for me at least the random lag drops it into the 8s.
@Trenta27: I never played the previous Diablo games but I can say I enjoy Diablo 3 alot more than I did Torchlight although I did like Torchlight alot.
I couldn't get past the first few sentences (if you even can call some of them sentences) before I realized this "article" had to have been written by a 12 year old who is flunking English.
We are going in opposite direction you and I. I used to game exclusively on consoles from NES on up to current gen. I still have my PS3 and 360 but gave away my Wii to my nephew. I bought a gaming PC a couple of years back that was to good of a deal to pass up and have since been focusing most of my gaming time on PC. I just bought a new 7850 GPU and play in my recliner on my 52" 1080p plasma with a wireless mouse and keyboard or a 360 remote connected to my PC playing games with gra...
Who cares about disks anymore. They just take up space or are used for coasters. Steam lets you play your games on any PC. Did your PC fry in the lightning storm? Well your entire gaming library is just a download away once you install steam on your new PC.
And I would buy games in bulk because it makes economic sense to do so. Sure I could buy GTA, GTA 2, GTA 3, GTAVC, GTASA, GTA 4 and episodes all one at a time at a retail store (if you can even find over half of tho...
No they don't. If it weren't for steam sales I would never buy most of the games I have on my PC. Many games are still being sold years after their release with the money going directly into the developers pockets and not some second hand shop like Gamestop. I personally would never have played or bought 99% of all indie PC games had it not been for steam sales.
Was he reading movie captions? Or maybe you meant captain log.
Some of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had were on NES and SNES before Sony ever came out with the Playstation. Don't get me wrong I loved my PS1, PS2 and still love my PS3 but I will not give up on gaming because a company stops making consoles. If that were the case I would have stopped years ago when one of my favorite systems, the Dreamcast, was cut short in its lifecylce by SEGA's console demise.
"... we are by now (hopefully) all used to watching our entertainment in the original language, with subs."
I actually prefer English dub in my Anime and games. I would rather watch whats happening on the screen instead of being fixated on the bottom portion reading what they are saying in Japenese.
I hope you aren't talking about GRAW 1 or 2. I LOVED those games in their day and played them for months on end when they first came out but I just put in GRAW2 the other day and found the controls extremely outdated for my taste.
Just be warned it might not be your cup of tea.
LOL I love how Objective is flagged for trolling and CarlitoBrigante gets more agrees than disagrees. Gotta love N4G. At least Objective's comment was meant to be funny. CarlitoBrigante was simply dissing Xbox Live.
They didn't list MW3. It sold over a billion the first week it was out.
Good review although I don't see how 7 +8 +8.5 +8.5 +9 /5 =9
I know overall is not an average but still seems kind of a high whole for the sum of its parts.
Yahoo seems to like the Vita alot.
I would say that achievements and trophies are the exact opposite of whoring. Without them you play a game and once you have "finished" you rarely call the game back up for a second date.
Captain Qwark hit the nail on the head.
ArchangelMike's comment of "I never got the point of gamerscore. I prefer trophies" is like saying "I never got the point of a landline telephone. I prefer a cellphone."
"(event though they don’t know nothing"
I'm sorry but I really don't like these user written and same user submitted opinion pieces that make it to the front page headline "news." Nothing is in this "article" other than opinion and the writier doesn't even do a halfway decent job of explaining why COD is supposedly dying as his title suggests.
Give me statistical data and facts please if you are going to make a stat...
"i dont think i is that good of a game"
But good enough to take the 10s if not 100s of hours to get a platinum trophy.
@demonddel Sorry I had to disagree with you for using the phrase "it wont change nothing."
